I visited Jones College and liked the campus, but I'm trying to understand the student vibe. A review on Niche said: “It's a quiet campus. Most people go home on weekends” . Another said: “If you join a club or play a sport, you'll find your people. If not, it can feel lonely” .
I'm from out of town, so I can't go home every weekend. I need a place where I can actually make friends. The same reviewer mentioned that the “baseball and softball games are fun” and there's a “student activities board that hosts events” .
Another student wrote: “The campus is small, so you get to know your classmates. It's not a party school, but that's fine with me” .
For current students, is it hard to make friends if you're not from the area? What's the best way to get involved? I'm trying to figure out if Jones will feel like home or just a place I commute to.
