I have a job interview next week and zero professional clothes. A friend told me about the Career Closet at South Oxford Center . It's "a complete professional outfit ahead of a job interview, career fair or professional opportunity" — clothes, shoes, accessories — all free .

They're open *weekdays 11am-3pm* and you can just... walk in and take what you need. No questions asked.

Why doesn't the university tell anyone about this? I was about to spend $200 at JCPenney that I don't have.

The provost's comment about the "missing piece" of a puzzle is so accurate. Like, I have the degree (almost), I have the skills, I have the experience — but showing up to an interview in a hoodie would ruin all of it. Having access to professional clothes isn't superficial, it's practical. Also, they take donations if anyone has old suits they don't wear . Neutral colors preferred — black, navy, gray.
