Where do undeclared students go for advising at Mississippi State?

I came into MSU as "undeclared" because I have no idea what I want to do. My friend told me about the University Academic Advising Center (UAAC) for students like me who have "competing interests in more than one major area" or are "uncertain of their career and educational goals" .

Apparently they have professional advisors who help with "educational plans consistent with life goals, objectives and abilities" . Has anyone used them? Do they actually help or just tell you to pick something? 🤷‍♂️

I'm a junior now but started undeclared. UAAC helped me realize I had "competing interests" (that quote is literally me). I liked psych and sociology and couldn't decide. My advisor helped me map out both and see which one actually fit my goals. Ended up in sociology with a psych minor. Wouldn't have figured that out alone.

Also, they have that 60-hour rule — you can stay undeclared until junior standing. So you have time to explore. Just don't wait too long to start the conversation.
